STUDENT UNION:
All the regular students are the general members of the student Union. Principal is the Permanent President of the Student Union. The class representatives are elected from the general members every year. These elected class representatives elect the portfolio holders like Vice-President, General Secretary, Assistant General Secretary and other departmental secretaries.
AIMS OF STUDENT UNION:
To build a healthy and ideal atmosphere for studyTo solve the problems of the students.To build up an atmosphere of cordial relation between the teachers, non-teaching staff and the students.To create an environment of healthy competition among the students through cultural and sports competitions.To arrange cultural programmes and other campus activities.To make the students science-oriented by arranging science seminars.To arrange for the study of needy and meritorious students by financially assistance.Students’ Union’s magazine ‘Unnayan’ is published annually with a collection of writings of the students, teachers, non-teaching staff, ex-students and reputed persons. The wall magazine, also named ‘Unnayan’, is published regularly at an interval of three months.
